I fell in love with the sport of swimming from a young age. Coaching swim has always been a passion. It feels very rewarding to turn a beginner swimmer into an advanced one. I've swam for Elk Grove high shool for 4 years, Galt Gators for 5 years and EGAC for 2 years!

My name is Ai Hoang Thai and I am currently a sophomore swimming for American River College. I started swimming competitively in high school and fell in love with the sport while swimming for Tsunamis. I then swam for the Laguna Creek Gators until I aged out. I have been helping children learn to swim as an instructor for the past three years under Southgate as well as teaching private lessons. I am excited to give back to this team and further my skills as a coach and instructor. I look forward to watching our kids develop their technique and accomplish their goals!

Hi Tsunami families! My name is Josephine (Jojo) West and I am so excited to be a returning Junior Coach this season! I am currently a freshman at Elk Grove High School, I participate in their FFA program and I am on their Flag Football, Basketball, and the Swim team. I joined the Tsunami's in 2014 and have been here ever since. I have the biggest passion for swimming because of the community it provides, the growth I see in myself and others, and the friends I make along the way! I have been Junior coaching since 2021, and I look forward to seeing all the achievements and memories that are made this season!
